Foundations & Lab Familiarisation
Ethical hacking, cyber defence, attack lifecycle, Kali Linux basics and lab orientation.
A practical cyber training environment where students learn how attackers discover and exploit systems, then examine the evidence those actions create from a defender's perspective.
The Hack Shack is built around practical learning. Students work inside isolated cyber ranges, using offensive security techniques against deliberately vulnerable systems while examining the defensive evidence those actions generate.
Each student receives their own isolated environment containing Kali Linux, the Hack Shack Vulnerable Web Application (HSVWA), a Windows workstation and enterprise-grade endpoint telemetry.
From foundational concepts and reconnaissance through web exploitation, internal enumeration, detection and a final end-to-end challenge.
Ethical hacking, cyber defence, attack lifecycle, Kali Linux basics and lab orientation.
Network scanning, service discovery, web enumeration and HSVWA exploration.
Common web weaknesses, controlled exploitation, initial access and discovery of the hidden network.
Network segmentation, Windows enumeration, mapping internal systems and identifying weaknesses.
Privilege escalation concepts, endpoint telemetry, alert investigation and defensive analysis.
End-to-end attack and defence exercise covering discovery, exploitation, investigation and review.
Every student operates inside a dedicated range designed to demonstrate realistic attack paths without exposing external systems.
Practical cyber security training built around experimentation, investigation and understanding both sides of the attack.
